5 Splendour Sideshow Tix You Need To Get Your Hands On

Didn’t manage to get your hands on the hottest ticket in festival land? Fear not you can still dance til dawn and revel in the marvel of a bender day after day. Thanks to the Splendour bus rolling into town with a host of your favourite artists, July is looking particularly steamy. No matter your genre or your musical affliction, there really is a taste to titilate your tastebuds. Get in quick if you want a slice of the action.

#1 Stormzy

He’s promised an appearance a time before and disappointed many a fan, but this is Stormzy’s redemption tour. Saddling up for a slew of dates, including a handful of extras since the first round sold out. Grime is one of those genres that live, really does electrify every single body in the room from wall to wall. If you’re a fan of his new jams or mouth-shutting classics, get along to see this master wow you with each bar. For full tour details head here.

#2 RL Grime + Tkay Maidza

What’s better than a single tour with RL Grime headlining surrounding the Splendour weekend? A little helping of rap dynamo Tkay Maidza of course. Taking on every corner of this fine land, get down for a boogie with this flavourful duo for a night you won’t regret nor remember all too well. You’ll forget about the agony of missing out on tickets upon walking in the door. For ticket info here’s the jump off.

#3 Haim

A harmony so majestic even Taylor Swift is on board. Well look, probably not their biggest selling point but a girl gang marvel no less. Long tresses and even lengthier vocal tone make for a trio that have mastered the girl band without attaching themselves to a single cliche along the way. New album, infectious catalogue of work, you’d be all but blind not to put your money where your mouth is and sway with the packed theatre. Get your mitts on tickets here.

#4 Lil Yachty

After a bout of recent absolute tunes it’s only fitting Lil Yachty got invited along to the Splendour party. If you can’t wrangle a grass side seat, that’s no reason not to party with the rapper. Describing his sound as bubblegum trap, it’s a sound that really does deserves a live audience. With a list of features truly running out the door, from Migos to Chance the Rapper while we’re certainly too far away for a surprise guest you may be treated with a remix or two. #5 LCD Soundsystem

If Daft Punk has ever been cranked to top volume at your humble abode, then LCD Soundsystem and yourself have more in common than you’d think. The funkiest tunes, dance-punk attitude and an extra helping of nostalgia from the groove loving noughties – the Brooklyn gang are back. Winter doesn’t seem anywhere near as chilly with their vibes lighting up two headline shows outside their Splendour appearance. Melbourne, Sydney – you lucky bastards. For more info jump here.
