Byron Bay, a magical part of the East Coast of Australia that allows one to channel their inner hippy, as well as an opportunity to rest and relax. Byron Bay truly is a unique place. It has an old school coastal look and feel, but with many modern day resort, cafe’s and shops. It has a large sense of community, where everyone (even if you’re just visiting for the day), feels like they belong.
Upon entering Byron, which is located an hour south of the Gold Coast, there is an instant feeling of calm and relaxation that washes over you.The welcoming coastal vibes, sounds of the sea and warm atmosphere truly allows you to feel like you’ve arrived at the ultimate R&R destination.
I visited my beloved Byron again this year (sadly we didn’t stay the night). Prior to heading to Byron my first time round, I found it quite overwhelming that there were so many places to eat, drink and stay; so I’ve made it easy for you and have put together a stylish guide, as well as some tips and tricks for next time you head to the most eastern point of Australia!

This is one of those stores that once you enter – you WILL leave having bought one or more items. Think ceramic crosses, tiles, coastal books, pillows and interior decorations; this is the ultimate store to get your coastal interior fix!
Spell & The Gypsy Collective – Marvel Street, Byron Bay
No Byron Bay trip is ever complete without a visit to Spell & The Gypsy Collective.
This store is both a hit with the locals, and the stars and even Miley Cyrus was recently spotted shopping in here when she was in Bryon for Falls Festival! This gorgeous store stocks unique, coastal clothing, delicate intimates and jewellery, as well as home decor and accessories. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect beach-goer dress or playsuit, then this is your one stop shop!
Pompidou – Fletcher Street, Byron Bay
If you’re after high fashion and designer, then Pomidou will be your go-to.
This is a destination store that offers luxe Australian and International labels, with a relaxed and inviting ambience. The Pompidou range has been carefully selected to represent the local area and laid back aesthetic.

The Farm Byron Bay – Ewingsdale Road, Ewingsdale
A working farm with the motto ‘Grow, Feed, and Educate’; The Farm at Byron Bay is designed to show you how a farm operates, supports the environment and contributes to a healthier lifestyle.
Tour the farm, fill your body with nourishing food and fresh produce and wander around the grounds of the farm. Make sure you take the time to stop and see what is growing in this beautiful part of the country! Three Blue Ducks is the onsite restaurant and is a place for lovers of real food and quality produce. Make a day of it!
Rae’s On Watego’s – Marine Parade, Byron Bay
Head to Rae’s On Watego’s if you’re looking for a restaurant where you’re planning to spend the day, as the location and setting is to die for.
At the foot of the most easterly point of Australia, Rae’s On Watego’s overlooks one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. The 50 seat al fresco dining setting overlooks the ocean, and the extensive menu will having you eating breakfast, lunch AND dinner here most days.
Miss Margarita – Jonson Street
Who doesn’t enjoy good quality Mexican food and a margarita or two?
Miss Margarita is a friendly spot for fresh, morerish food and amazing cocktails. There is always an incredible buzz about the place as you walk buy, and the food and cocktails are definitely worth the crowds!
