What This Week’s Blood Moon Means For Your Zodiac

Get ya diary out and pencil in this month’s full moon for Sunday January 20 because it’s gonna be one you don’t wanna miss. This month’s lunar eclipse has been named the Blood Moon because whilst it’s super common at the start of every year, you’ll also notice the moon temporarily disappear as a red hue showers the Earth. This is sounding oddly like the intro to a Stranger Things episode.

It also sounds apocalyptic and well, it kind of is because whilst also affecting certain zodiacs, this spectacular lunar event has been featured in many biblical passages that describe *GASP* the end of the world. Parts of the Bible read, “The sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.” Does this mean there’s no real point to our New Year’s fitness pledge if we’re gonna die anyway? Well probably not.

Whilst we’re pretty (a lot) skeptical about all this talk of the world ending, we’re more concerned about what kind of affect it’s going to have on our zodiacs. This is a PSA for all those belonging to the four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) that this month’s eclipse will see the moon cross through the astrological sign of Leo, meaning our emotions and desires are gonna be shaken up a little. So please be kind to your Aries/Cancer/Libra/Capricorn friends.

According to astrology experts, the eclipse will signal a time for opportunity and change and could bring unexpected events into your life. Your anxiety and uncertainties may shoot up but we’re told that the best way to prepare for these energies from the eclipse is to harness patience, self-control and to remain open-minded about new opportunities.

Experts also warn that this full moon will release energies that may test family loyalty and values – but let’s be real here, we’re all still recovering from all the forced family bonding over the Christmas break and so this is totally expected.
