Well put on your most curious hat and awaken that inquisitive soul of yours, because Hendricks are bringing an exclusive gin experience to Sydney for this weekend only, subtly entitled The Awakening. Your intrigue should guide you through a treasury of theatrical scenarios in an interactive, hour-long journey of the body, mind and soul – no, actually this is exactly what will happen.
Popping up at COMMUNE in Waterloo from Friday to Sunday, The Awakening is a self-guided tour through intimate spaces and engaging dramatic scenes designed to drag you out of your comfort zone and have you questioning your own sanity. Of course, take this with a pinch of salt friends, but you get the idea.
The performances by Siren Theatre Co intentionally disrupt how technology rules our interactions with the world. So you’ll be forced to engage in the moment before your eyes, rather than through a screen. And if you really want the best experience – engage with your surroundings, the people and activations; once you get past the initial insecurity (trust me there will be a lot), you’ll have a fab time.

We spoke to Hendrick’s Gin Brand Ambassador Morgan Flanagan about the fun little event, and if he had any tips for people going.
