Oh long weekend how we missed you. No Monday morning dread, so pour another cup and soak it all in this weekend. The weather might be set to be a bit hit and miss but we’re still keen. No stress if you’ve left your plans til the last minute, here’s a program of to do’s no matter how you’re feeling. The hangover may be brutal but at least the work week is short. Go on have a couple more than usual.
Pimms & NRL – Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel
When: All Weekend
Embrace Spring as our favourite Sunday Sesh spot kicks off with an epic long weekend party for us. Don’t miss heaps of DJ’s on Saturday and if you’re an NRL fan, catch the footy on Sunday with the view of the harbour in all its’ glory. To top it off, they’re collaborating with Pimms to bring some cocktails that scream summer vibes. Don your Sunday best and get down to the Beach Club.
Rosé All Day Festival – Opera House
When: All Weekend
The Opera Bar will once again be transformed into a place of Rosé filled dreams. Grab a ticket which gets you 3 glasses of the pink nectar (regular, spritz and my personal fave, frosé). You can even hop across the Quay mid arvo on Monday to check out the 600 litre Espresso Martini that’s going to be shaking up Cruise Bar. Cocktails for days!
Manly Jazz Festival – Manly
When: All Weekend
Catch a cheeky ferry over to Manly’s 41st Jazz Fest which will be going off all weekend on the Northern Beaches. There’s a street parade on Saturday morning and the party will carry on from there late into the night with over 100 performances. Don’t worry, there’s also going to be a wide array of food, craft beer and wine on offer to aid your dancing.
SASH – Greenwood Hotel/Home Bar
When: Sunday
If partying all day (and all night) is your thing, get involved in a long weekend special at SASH. Head to the Greenwood in North Sydney for some sweet Sunday sesh vibes. Then onto Home Bar in Darling Harbour for a big night to follow. There are loads of DJ’s to see and plenty of drinks to be had.
TAB Epsom Day – Randwick Racecourse
When: Saturday
With a day boasting $3.4 million prize money (some of which could have your name on it), get to Randwick in your suits and dresses and get punting. Of course, the AFL will be on the big screen too, so there’s no sport to be missed. Get your cash ready for some bets that’ll (hopefully) get you enough to carry on the flow of drinks afterwards.
Sunday BBQ Ft. Northeast Party House – Beach Road Bondi
When: Sunday
Northeast Party House are putting on a huge DJ set at one of our favourite venues by the beach on Sunday. With some of the best smoked meats cooked by the Beachie’s finest and tunes kicking off from 1pm, this is set to be a fine arvo of celebrating that precious Monday off.
