Last Minute Plans in Sydney

You’ve got suggestions going back and forth on WhatsApp but you still can’t commit to any plans for today/tonight? Let us help you out! If you’re looking for a big night on the town, casual bite, maybe even work drinks, we got you.

Ol’ Faithful El Jannah

The perfect eatery for when you want a cheap and quick feed. Their chicken and chips are cooked to perfection, and when you see your plate coming towards you, you get a glimpse of what Heaven must be like. You’ll find them in Granville, Punchbowl, and Blacktown if you’re after your fix of glorious chicken.

Maybe don’t plan on heading out after, as your pores will be radiating garlic. If they aren’t, then you haven’t had the full experience.

Darlo Country Club

As you climb the stairs up to this trendy bar, you leave Darlinghurst far behind. The interior oozes cool, with brown leather lounges and small palm trees lining the walls. The music is a mix of current hits and classic favs that will see you running to the dancefloor.

Must tries for this venue include the mac & cheese croquettes and squid ink battered local squid with citrus aioli.

Pasticceria Papa

Half a cup of a warm hug and a dash of unconditional love – these are few ingredients that are used to create the Papa’s Ricotta Cheese Cake. Open late, Papa’s is the perfect ‘Let’s just go for coffee’ venue.

From the Beach to Inner West, Papa’s can be found in Bondi, Five Dock, and Haberfield.

Indu

If you’re one of the lucky few to score a booking to this ‘so hot right now’ restaurant you will be the new group favourite for this suggestion. You wouldn’t know it was there walking past, but when you walk in the door, an assortment of rich spices engulf your senses.

The Indian and Sri Lankan inspired menu is perfect for sharing and we can’t go passed the flame-seared, turmeric cured salmon dosa bar or sesame rolled beetroot croquettes.

Gelato Messina

Feeling lazy? Did you know Gelato Messina does take home sizes? One friend can drive and you run in. We’re thinking 2 spoons, a blanket and Netflix this evening. If you have been living under a rock the past year, what better time than tonight to start House of Cards or Orange is the new Black?

With stores scattered around Sydney you’re bound to find one close enough to get home before the gelato melts – or it gets eaten in the car!
