The multi talented entertainer has released a tease of his upcoming mixtape STN MTN / KAUAI which is set to drop over the coming month or so. If you’re familiar with Gambino’s earlier work in Camp or the more recent Because the Internet, well then, simply prepare for the unexpected. In this mellow mastermind, Gambino largely sings over soul-melting synths purring “now that it’s over, I’ll never be sober.”
The track does have a very Because the Internet breakdown for a bridge before the former Community frontman snaps back into gear. Rumours suggest the upcoming mixtape will feature two different types of music. The rapping that kickstarted his musical career, and a more chilled side with relaxed melodies and singing. If this is any indication, we’re in for some more brilliance. And I’m a Geek for a Freak.
