Sydney Folk Bombay Sapphire’s Bringing A Martini Trolley To ‘Ya Fab Selves

Is there arguably anything better than a sneaky hit of gin for peak summer vibes? Well add that with a little dry ice and you have a truly fab little affair.

And that’s what Bombay Sapphire are doing with their Star Of Bombay martini series, which is happening at the classy yet sneaky Eau De Vie in Sydney.

The London gin brand is bringing an exclusively-designed custom martini trolley to bring to life for the good old ceremonial ritual of martini service. Think the type of martini’s you would be served throughout history, and that’s the exact journey you’ll get at. Eau De Vie, crafted in a bespoke theatrical style that’s synonymous with the venue.

And it’s truly theatrical. Cocktails from the new martini menu will be created in front of you and served directly from the Star of Bombay Martini Trolley, each with a story to tell, paying homage to the magic of cocktail trolley service of the past. And trust me, when they pour in that dry ice have the Insta-boomerang on standby.

Inviting guests on a historical journey, the trolley service will feature:

  • ‘The Edwardian’, a twist on the sweet noted Hanky Panky cocktail from The Savoy Hotel of 1903
  • The ‘Captain Ritz’, an adaption of the ultra-luxurious Ritz Side Car from Paris
  • The ‘Magda Martini’, inspired by Ian Flemming’s iconic Bond series and The Dukes Hotel in London
  • The ‘Simpson Martini’, an Eau De Vie take on the traditional dirty martini served at the prominent Connaught Hotel in London.

Star of Bombay Australian Ambassador Peter Hollands said, “Making the perfect martini has been a topic of debate amongst cocktail aficionados since its creation in the 1800s, however the inclusion of London Dry Gin in the classic martini remains undisputed. The intense flavours of Star of Bombay’s vapour-infused botanicals creates the perfect martini, made exceptional with the contemporary twist offered from the Star of Bombay trolley.”
