The perfect romantic retreat only 2 measly hours (max) from Sydney’s CBD in the Caves Beach Dunes near Lake Macquarie. This place has everything you need to enjoy the perfect night away just the two of you. Have dinner and drinks in the Coastal Bar which holds a cool outdoor deck to soak up the sunset, then retreat back to your beach bungalow for a cosy night listening to the waves. Think timber boardwalks, minimalist decor and a classic beachy finish. In the morning, head to Caves Beach, explore the caves (obviously) and have a secluded swim in the waves. A little getaway with everything you’ll need in one place.

Piermont Retreat has English country cottage vibes for days. Nestled in a remote bay on the East Coast of Tasmania, near Swansea, it provides the ultimate sanctuary to explore surrounding nature and wilderness. For those looking for a peaceful escape from the big smoke, these Tassie cottages are perf. Head out to wineries, go on hikes and eat at the award winning restaurant Homestead which collaborates with local farmers to provide amazing food cooked with local produce (the fresh oysters are incredible if you want a cheeky treat). Guest rooms are home to spa bathrooms, log fires and beachfront decks so you’re equipped regardless of the season. If you’re keen for a tranquil getaway to relight the flame with your S.O. then look no further.

You want to get away, but you want to keep busy, eat some good food and drink cocktails all night long. Elements Of Byron is ya’ place to go. With 4 restaurants and bars, you’ll never go hungry (or thirsty). And along with the spa, tennis court and beach club, Belongil Beach is only steps away so whatever floats your boat, you’re not going to be bored. There’s even an adult pool which means no screaming kiddies running around, yaas please. Elements is a modern and elegant resort built so you can put your feet up and have fun with your partner all day (and night!). With heaps going on around Byron too, this is a sweet retreat for folks that don’t like to sit down for long.

A quirky romantic getaway in the heart of Melbourne’s city on top of a nondescript car park. Doesn’t sound too inviting at first glance, but when you’ve seen the 31 foot Airstream Trailers, you’ll think differently. Each trailer features its’ own deck, has access to Wifi and even has an iPad Pro onboard complete with Netflix. Pay a little extra and you can even spend the night in an exclusive trailer complete with an open air, secluded spa. Perf for a skinny dip with your S.O. You’ll be able to shut the door of your trailer and get into a bubble (quite literally) with your partner for the night to block out the white noise of the city and spend some quality time together.

If you’re looking for an outdoor haven to spend the night with your partner, Nomadika Glamping gives you just that. Huge bell tents create an enchanting and luxurious (without the brick walls) escape for the ideal weekend getaway. Book their ‘Romantic Bells’ package and pick your location. The team will then deliver and assemble the tent for your night in the open. Yes, even to your own backyard. So why not be super romantic and pick a location that’s special to you and your S.O. i.e. where you had your first date, or where you go walking and surprise them with a bottle of wine and some candles. You can’t go wrong.
