Absolute Bangers To Add To Your NYE Playlist For Maximum Good Vibes

Whether you’re terrified that 2018 has come and gone so quickly (lamenting the year that has been and how quickly it has gone), or if you’re super ready to just get stuck into 2019, it’s a fun part of year. And NYE is the peak time for bangers. It’s been a pretty wild year – one that included political turmoil, celeb break ups for days, and huge festivals around the country.

So we’ve teamed up with NYE In The Park to bring you a bunch of bangers worth adding to your New Years Eve set (and if you just need a whole playlist for the big night, we’ve added the below and a bunch of our other faves into a Spotify playlist below).

Downtown Shutdown // The Presets

The Presets Hi Viz was one of the best records to come out of Oz this year, and amongst the hardcore rave vibes, this tune was a surprising and fab addition. The afro-beat feel, mixed in with some amazing vocals, made for a funky celebration perfect for end of year reminiscing.

Lay Down // Touch Sensitive

He’s become an absolute Aussie favourite in the past two or three years, and Touch Sensitive just keeps on keeping on. He added some bass to The Presets’ above track, and this festival banger is just an ultimate good vibe. That piano pre-chorus is enough to get any NYE party absolutely bumping.

Light & Sound // Luke Million

A real seasonal tune, truly made for chill sunny days and funky nights. With Million’s staple 80’s influence and synth injection, this beat is an absolute must in the lead up to midnight. It’s disco-y, but modern enough to get you dancing.

Feel The Way I Do // The Jungle Giants

It’s been a HUGE year for the indie-rockers, and really just a massive 24 months. Touring non-stop, including a delicious Splendour set to a bumper crowd in July, this ultimate banger signalled a change in sound. Moving to a more fun, electro-influenced, party indie-rock sound (if that’s even a thing), Feel The Way I Do just gets you going.

raingurl // yaeji

No explanation needed. OH YEAH HEY DAWG HEY WASSUP.

Praise Da Lord // A$AP Rocky, Skepta

One of the collabs of the year, A$AP and Skepta continue to prove that their hybrid American-British rap sound is a big, big thing. That Peruvian-esque flute sample is iconic, as the top-of-the-game rappers lay down some proper rhymes that have plenty of NYE swagger. You came, you saw, let’s bloody do it 2019.

Need final plans for NYE 2018 and want to see The Presets, The Jungle Giants and Hayden James to round it out?
