All The Reasons You Should Be Thirsting Over Taron Egerton If You Aren’t Already

After I saw the first Kingsman movie, I found myself obsessively googling leading man Taron Egerton. He became my imaginary husband. Since then, there’s been a special place in my heart for the English lad. And for good reason, he deserves all the love in the world.

Now, he’s starring as Elton John in the upcoming biopic Rocketman, and I literally can’t wait. Not only is Elton John one of the most iconic characters in music, but Taron looks amazing in the role. Off the back of Bohemian Rhapsody’s success, this could be the moment Taron Egerton gets all the love he truly deserves. So without further ado, let me tell you why he should be the new object of your thirst.

First of all, look at him

Between the hair, the jaw and the wink, I don’t know what I like more. He’s basically perfection on legs.

Secondly, he’s totally charming and endearing

Of the many (many many many) interviews I’ve watched of Egerton, he’s always sharp and witty and happy to let himself be the butt of the joke.

Thirdly, he’ll always take on a challenge

Whether it’s the stunts he had to do for Kingsman, or taking on the challenge of playing one of the biggest names in music, or working with difficult costars (see below), Taron always takes it in his stride and does and amazing job.

Fourthly, he’s ridiculously talented

In the upcoming Elton John biopic, not only does he do an incredible job as Elton, but he sings too! Every note that “Elton” sings in the movie is performed by Taron. In fact, over the weekend at the real Elton’s annual Oscars party, the two sang Tiny Dancer together and honestly I wept. Grab the tissues and check it out below.

I’m having trouble breathing tbh.

Finally, this

If you needed more convincing, whack your eyes on this.
