It’s time to dust off your wands and broomsticks because your Harry Potter dreams are about to come true. Just incase you thought this year couldn’t get any better, with Harry Potter And The Cursed Child running at the Princess Theatre and the news that the OG cast is coming back together for a new film, guess what, it just did.
The Store
Australia’s largest Harry Potter store opens in Myer Bourke Street Mall, in Melbourne on Friday. The intention behind opening up the store is apparently to give fans an opportunity to purchase rare items that they would usually have to seek internationally and photo opportunities previously not available in Australia.
The 500 square meter shop will feature a replica of Platform 9 3/4 with a trolley being pushed through it. We imagine the display will be of similar character to the one in Kings Cross Station in London.

The Products
A selection of 20 different wands will be available. Yes, you read that correctly, 20! You will also be able to purchase different types of stationary, homewares and apparel. So basically, the store is not just for kids, its for grown ass kidults who want to decorate their house with Harry Potter merch. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. You will also be able to purchase Cursed Child tix in store, if you feel like splurging.

The Opening
The grand opening of the store will take place on Friday. The cast of Cursed Child will be performing one of their numbers in store, so if your Melbourne based, get yo muggle booty to Myer to catch a free show. You can also bring a little wizard for free magic themed face-painting and activities.
