Here’s How To Turn Your Coachella FOMO Into Splendour Hype

Weekend one of Coachella is officially over. If you were lucky enough (or unlucky, depending on how you see it) to catch the live streams over the weekend then you’d know that the party was pretty bloody big. And you’re also probably wallowing in FOMO as we speak.

It’s understandable of, course — Coachella is one of the biggest and best festivals going. But tickets are both exxy and hard to get. And if you’re from Oz, you can also expect to tack on the cost of a return international flight.

Between the live stream, the Instagram posts, the Snapchat stories and every damn thing else, it can be easy to get bogged down in it all. But instead of getting shitty that you’re not currently nursing a festival hangover in Coachella Valley, try to get hype for our upcoming mid-year festival sensation.

With Splendour in the Grass right around the corner, if you’re lucky enough to have those hot-as-hell tickets, it’s time to get hype. I mean, it’s not long until nights dancing, live music, international artists, and fuck-off-giant screens are hitting our shores.

With names like Chance the Rapper, SZA, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala set to tear it up, it’s gonna be one hell of a party. And in case you needed any more convincing, you can check out this handy dandy audience montage of Childish absolutely killing his Coachella set.

If that didn’t get you feeling the vibes, take a look at hometown boys Tame Impala. Their set was a flurry of lights, lasers, colours and absolute bangers. They bloody well murdered The Less I Know The Better in the best possible way and I am floored.

Look, I know that the North Byron Parklands don’t pull the same kind of international notoriety, or celebrity star power, but damn. If all this festival talk isn’t getting you at least a little bit hyped for Splendour then I’ll happily take ya ticket.
