Fashion knows no bounds, and one Mr Kanye ‘Yeezus’ West is a fashion maverick if ever we’ve seen one.
Every drop of his Yeezy fashion label never fails to make waves. Yeezy has become a cultural icon in itself, redefining street fashion with its minimalist (but often nutty) designs. And the latest is… um… interesting to say the least.
XXL Magazine tweeted photos of unreleased sunglasses set to drop for the brand and, as is with everything ‘Ye, the reactions were quick to roll in.

I mean, they’re absurd. We all agree, right? I’m not just behind-the-times, surely he’s taking the piss.
Many users were quick to point out the many pop culture references they believed inspired the latest Yeezy accessory.
I knew these looked familiar. 😩 pic.twitter.com/YvxggOVw90

Tbh, all I see is a fashion statement I came up with when I was a kid – when the headband holding back my hair slipped in front of my eyes. And so did others. Is it too late to trademark our collective stroke of childish brilliance?
Looks like those headbands from the 70s

I’m pretty sure Ye just had a hair band on his head, dropped something, bent over to pick it up *hair band slides over eyes* which marked the creation of his new eyewear. Tell me I’m wrong. pic.twitter.com/TlValmvqRj

Some are saying old mate Ye lacks originally. Whether he’s been inspired by – or is straight ripping off – Inuit ‘snow goggles’, the resemblance is uncanny.

Whatever these things are, it seems the general consensus is: Kanye, buddy, you’ve got to be kidding. Surely you are. You can’t be serious.

And please, for the love of all that is holy, leave these unreleased. Don’t do this to yourself, man. Don’t do it to us. Please.
Because if these do sell out, I will be so mad I didn’t capitalise on that FRE$H idea I stumbled upon when I was a kid. Ugh, why couldn’t I just have the confidence of Kanye?!
