It’s Worth Getting Disney+ Purely For These Christmas Movies

Tis the season for bingeing.

Christmas is right around the corner and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than binge watching Disney movies.

Disney’s streaming service ‘Disney+‘ is now up and running and you can score yourself a 7 day free trial, to check it out. Honestly though, for $8.99 a month, I think it’s a worthwhile spend. As well as awesome OG Disney movies like Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, the service also has a fab collection of Chrissy movies. Here’s a list of everything Christmassy I could find on the site.

Noelle (2019)

This film is a Disney+ original starring Anna Kendrick who plays Kris Kringle’s daughter, and her brother Nick who is training to take over from his father this Christmas. A feel good Chrissy film that will probably be a classic.

Home Alone (1990)

Arguably one of the best Christmas movies ever made. In this flick Macaulay Culkin stars as 8-year-old Kevin who is accidentally left behind when his family jets off to France for the holidays.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

This eery Tim Burton classic animation follows the story of Jack Skellington, a being from Halloween Town who becomes fascinated with Christmas Town and tries to abduct Santa.

The Santa Claus (1994), 2 (2002) & 3 (2006)

Honestly would it be Christmas without a binge viewing of Tim Allen’s ‘The Santa Clause,’ films? In these films, a regular dude named Scott agrees to become the next Santa Clause. It’s so fun, it’s so festive, it’s exactly what you need this December.

A Christmas Carol (2009)

I remember seeing this Jim Carey take on the OG Christmas story when I was a kid and being spooked as hell by it. It’s a little creepy, but it’s a Christmas classic. As you probably know, the story follows old mate Ebanezer Scrooge, a grumpy old man who discovers three spirits on Christmas Eve that show him the folly of his ways.

Miracle On 34th Street

If you’re into old movies, this one is definitely for you. The story revolves around a department store Santa who claims to be the real thing. It’s so warm and heartfelt, and will leave you feeling nostalgic and probably needing a hug.

And Everything Else:

The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas (2011)

Pluto’s Christmas Tree (1952)

Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas (1999)

The Christmas Star (1986)

I’ll Be Home For Christmas (1998)

12 Dates Of Christmas (2011)

One Magic Christmas (1985)

Richie Rich$ Christmas Wish (1998)

Ice Age A Mammoth Christmas (2011)

Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997)

The Ultimate Christmas Present (2000)

Santa Buddies (2009)

The Search For Santa Paws (2010)

Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012)

‘Twas The Night (2001)

The Mistle-Tones: A Musical (2012)

The Nutcracker And The Four Realms (2018)

Snowglobe (2007)

While Netflix may have Elf and The Grinch, Disney+ has absolutely trumped all other streaming services this year in the Christmas movie department. If no one hears from me from the entire month of December, I will be glued to the lounge making my way through this list of Chrissy classics…
