Well the Oscars was on today. And while everyone was watching that, Disney sneakily dropped the second trailer for their upcoming Lion King remake. This is the second look at the new movie since the first trailer dropped back in late November. The new trailer features a few new creatures from around the savanna, and another look at that adorable lil bub Simba.
Opening with that iconic sunrise over the desert and the opening lines of the Circle of Life, the trailer is everything we could have hopped for. We also get our first look at the King himself, Mufasa. The lion dad we all wish we had towers over his tiny son in the new poster, and honestly I’m crying.
