Pasta La Vista, Baby! World Pasta Day Bringing ‘Ya $10 Carb Loads This Week

I don’t know about you, but I’m a BIG fan of pasta. BIG fan. Penne? Yep. Bow ties? Yum. Spaghetti? Ohhh Yep. You can honestly never go wrong with the carb-loaded goodness. Drenched in any type of sauce it just gets better. Can it get any better than that? Apparently so. World pasta day is a thing, and it’s being celebrated here in Sydney.

On Thursday, 25 October, Fratelli Italian restaurants are offering a once in a lifetime experience. All eight Fratelli restaurants across Sydney are treating guests to $10 pasta dishes. Yup, you read that right, so much goodness for only $10. From linguine and spaghetti, to orecchiette and gnocchi, you legends can choose from any pasta dish on the menu for $10 at Alexandria, Bridge Street, Crows Nest, Darling Harbour, Entertainment Quarter, Macquarie Street, Walsh Bay and Westfield CBD. Bookings can be made here.

Over at Rosetta Ristorante in Sydney, guests can indulge in three beautiful pasta dishes available exclusively on World Pasta Day. Maccheroncini all’Amatriciana is a delicate macaroni pasta served in a rich sauce of pork cheek, San Marzano tomatoes, white wine, pepper, pecorino and chilli. Spaghetti alla Norma features house-made spaghetti in a traditional Sicilian sauce of eggplant, tomato and basil, topped with ricotta salata; Fregola Sarda, the Sicilian version of cous cous, is served in a broth of mussels, tomato, white wine, saffron, garlic, chilli and basil. Each pasta dish will be on offer for $39 and available on Thursday, 25 October only. Bookings can be made here.

Just a friendly reminder – pasta makes up a large portion of the food pyramid, so a good excuse to get your carbohydrate fix.
