Rami Malek as the new bad boy doesn’t surprise me. Not even a little bit, not even at all. Why? Because Malek is unquestionably the cinematic masterpiece that Hollywood has been yearning for. Whilst his on-screen presence dates back to The Gilmore Girls and even Night at the Museum, this year’s Queen tribute was the defining moment of Malek’s contemporary career. He had me at that goddamn overbite and I’m not even mad.
Following Bohemian Rhapsody, Malek has well and truly inserted himself into ridgy-didge movie making territory. If you hadn’t noticed, I am Malek’s top-tier supporter and yes, I will shamelessly convert you all into obsessed Malek fiends, too.
Rami Malek seems to confirm he is playing the new James Bond villain.

What we can deduce from all the lack of information is that Danny Craig has thankfully agreed to play the iconic Bond role one more time. Parts of the flick will also be filmed in Jamaica – which seems a very fitting location for some steamy Bond content (cue shirtless shooting scenes). It’s not yet confirmed what kind of role Malek will play, but it’s definitely of ‘bad boy’ status.

Whilst we may all be a little premature in our pre-Bond25 hype (the movie won’t be released ’til 2020), I can smell the scent of a 2nd Oscar-winning performance in the making. Stay tuned for more Bond25 updates, especially the ones involving Malek because well, why not?
