Your not-so-favourite President, Donald Trump, ramped up his official 2020 re-election campaign over the weekend. And if you’ve been paying attention to any of the fall out, the attendance looked a bit small didn’t it? As we’ve seen, Tik Tok stans globally really upped their game to effectively troll and make a stand against Trump.
Led by various groups and communities of young Americans, they essentially went to the Trump website, signed up for the two free tickets, and simply didn’t show up. Simple, effective, contagious -I love it.
Not only did young Americans get behind the initial trend, but it spread into other movements and communities; including the KPop scene, and the wider BLM movement.

God I love this generation. And although sure, who knows how much exact impact the social revolution had on Trump’s rally in terms of numbers – this was a calculated political statement. Even though we’re young, we will make our voices heard.
I also love that many of Trump’s supporters, who were against #BlackLivesMatter protests, are now completely fine to attend a political rally?? Where are all you anti-mass-gathering moths now, huh???
Anyways, long may the resistance continue, and lets hope Trump’s time is up by the end of 2020.
