TripAdvisor Released Their 2018 Top 10 Food Experiences, So Pack Your Bags And Grab Your Bib

It’s no secret that one of the best parts of travelling is trying the food. I mean what’s even the point of going abroad if you’re not going to stuff your face with local cuisine? There’s so much amazing food out there that you just can’t get at home.

If you’re anything like me, you’re committed to finding the best places to chow down in each destination. Well, it’s time to dust off your passport and get travelling, because TripAdvisor have put together a list of their 2018 ten best food experiences around the world. And trust me, you’re gonna want to get on this.

1. Douro Valley Small-Group Tour with Wine Tasting, Portuguese Lunch and Optional River Cruise. Porto, Portugal

The Douro Valley has more wineries than you can count, so this tour will make sure you’re only sipping the best of the best. You’ll be filling up on the finest Douro cuisine (in a celebrated villa no less) and sipping on award winning vino at two estates. Looking for something a little extra? You’re in for some real robots in some pretty wild costumes and plenty of high energy dance moves. There’s three shows a day, so there’s really no excuse.

5. New Orleans Food Walking Tour of the French Quarter. New Orleans, USA

New Orleans is so full of amazing food, it’s hard to know where to start. Jumping onto this tour will ensure you’ll hit all the best places and get the full taste sensation of the city. Hit up all the quintessential foods NOLA has to offer, and go behind-the-scenes in local kitchens and hotspots. You’ll be brimming with tips on the best places for food, drink and local culture. Just… maybe don’t eat the beforehand. You’ll need the stomach space.

6. Rome Food Tour by Sunset around Prati District. Rome, Italy

8. Madrid Tapas and Wine Tasting Tour. Madrid, Spain

Who doesn’t love a bit of tapas? Heading out on an authentic tapas and wine tour in Madrid is the perfect addition to your Spanish trip.
