Summer? Check. Holiday season? Check. Plenty of time to spend outdoors? Check. With Summer well and truly here, there’s no better way to spend the hot, festive season than out and about. Luckily, this is a period where there are a heap of things going on, so we’ve curated the top, Sunkist events happening in Sydney over the Summer.
#1 Pilates In The Park
Kickstart your morning with a workout, accompanied by a serene view of nature – it’s a win-win situation! These Pilates classes, based in the heart of Pyrmont, are suitable for all fitness levels and will work on the strength and flexibility of your upper body. With the class being in the morning, it’s a great way to wake yourself up and get your day started. This is also the perfect class to make your summer-bod look on point, just before you hit the beach later to catch some waves (or be dunked underwater).
#2 FOMO Festival
For all of you festival-goers, take your FOMO (literally) and attend this affordable, stage festival. Dance and party your day away with a bunch of friends whilst listening to a lineup of: Post Malone (insert any other meme name you’ve grown to call him), newcomer SZA, Jersey Native and a whole lot more. This is the festival you definitely don’t want to miss out on (or then you’ll really have fomo).
#3 Four Thousand Fish At Barangaroo Reserve
Want to go to an art museum but don’t want to waste a perfectly, sunny day indoors? This outdoor artwork installation at Barangaroo Reserve is perfect as it is artsy, but better yet, it’s interactive too. Create your own frozen fish using sea water and a cast mold. Put your creative skills to the test and be a part of something spectacular!
#4 Moonlight Cinema
Having only just reopened, this is a popular event to spend those hot, summer nights under the stars. Based in Centennial Parklands, this is the perfect date-night spot (an idea to score some points with your significant other), or it could work great for a chance to gather a group of friends together and watch something perfect for the occasion!
#5 The Rocks Christmas Village
After all of the Christmas chaos, take a roam in The Rocks. From festive decorations to a vast array of bars, restaurants and shops, this is your chance to wind down and take in the beauty of the festive season. Check out the Giant Snow Globe (this would also look great on your insta-feed), take a bite from one of the many stalls on offer, all whilst having Christmas tunes in the background. Does it get better than that?
