Hello high-neck sweaters, check-print mini-skirts and boyfriend style tees and sweaters. While Ralph Lauren just released a collection inspired by Rachel’s iconic look, you can easily piece together a Rachel-style outfit from your local op-shop. Pick up a school-girl style skirt, vintage Levi blue jeans, a pair of denim overalls, a pair of long socks and a men’s basketball t-shirt or sweater to be cut and cropped.

Monica Geller

While Monica’s look was a little less defined than the other characters, she still wore some super cute looks that gave us all the 90s fashion envy. To piece together a Monica style outfit, you will also need a pair of blue vintage Levi jeans. Pair the jeans with slinky singlets or men’s button-up shirts or flannels. It is also important to shop anything red – slinky dresses, sweaters, tees or more slinky singlets! Match all outfits with dark lipstick.

Phoebe Buffay

Unleash your inner hippie girl! For a Phoebe style outfit it’s essential to collect a selection of patterned maxi-skirts and dresses. Layer on the costume jewellery (leather, feathers and crystals encouraged), brown boots and anything paisley print. Imagine you’re shopping for a Byron Bay grandma, but make it chic. If that’s possible, at all.

Joey Tribbiani

Joey had the whole effortlessly cool look going on. He looked kinda homeless, kinda sexy – but we are so about it! To channel your inner Joey, you will need to stock up on the flannels, blue jeans and hiker boots. Wear your flannel shirt on its own, or occasionally with a shirt underneath, or on very special occasions with a jacket over-top. Joey’s look just involves variations of the same outfit. Ah, boys will be boys.

Chandler Bing

Chandler always looked professional but cool at the same time. Think business shirts but, super oversized and tucked in with a belt. You can try wearing a signature Chandler vest overtop if you’re feeling adventurous. On out of office days, a ridiculously oversized sweater with a backwards cap will do the trick.

Ross Geller

Ross was by far the most dorky of the group and also had the worst style. I don’t really know why anyone would want to copy Ross’s style, but in case any of you diehard dinosaur loving, Ross fans do, I would recommend buying everything three sizes too big from now on. Also invest in a leather coat and a pair of Doc Martins. Coloured and printed corduroy shirts are also your friend from now on. Remember to tuck everything in with a belt.
