2020 is truly a wild ride. After Tiger King took the world by storm (and amassed some top-teir memes), I thought we would all slowly forget about it and move on. Nope.
Turns out Donald Trump Jr watched the whole Tiger King doco on Netflix and said that he reckons Joe Exotic got a rough sentence, calling it ‘aggressive.’
“Now, I don’t even know exactly what he was charged with … I watched the show, but it was like, I don’t know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn’t,” he said.
“It doesn’t seem like he was totally innocent of anything. But when they’re saying, ‘We’re putting this guy away for 30 years,’ I’m saying that seems sort of aggressive.”
I get why everyone thinks Joe Exotic is hilarious, but it’s wrong to suggest the man doesn’t deserve his sentence. Joe Exotic is pretty cooked in too many ways to count, even if he’s entertaining. The man was convicted of slaying 5 tigers, guys.
That’s probably something Don Jr doesn’t have a problem with, given the man has hunted big cats himself.

Never mind that Joe Exotic was also involved in a murder-for-hire plot, or that he simulated the rape and murder of a woman in his music videos, but whatever I guess?
Anyway, a reporter asked Donald Trump if he would pardon Joe Exotic, and the President actually said he would look into it?!
I really don’t know how 2020 is real, but there you go. This is the dark timeline.
