Calling all John Butler and Missy Higgins lovers. Or any of you just really loved the early 2000’s. Missy and the man himself are teaming up to bring you some epic shows this January and February that are sure to wind the clock back.
The Coming Home Tour is set to feature all of the classics, as well as some new releases from our Aussie icons.
JBT’s first album in four years, HOME, comes out in two weeks and it’s set to give you some perfect summer vibes. Along with some extra band members (forming the new name JBT+), Missy Higgins, Stella Donnelly and Baker Boy (Hobart only) will also be performing, putting this tour on a whole new level.
We all love a good dose of nostalgia, and is there anyone in this fine country who actually doesn’t like classic JBT or Missy Higgins? JBT’s Zebra came in at #8 in the 2003 Hottest 100, while the karaoke classic and breakthrough chooon from Missy, Scar, was just pipped for the 2004 Hottest 100 crown, coming at #2.
New music is also on the cards for both. Check out JBT’s new album-titled single below, which features a slightly different direction to past stuff.
“This album touches on the anxieties and demons I’ve been grappling with since the last album, but it’s also full of joy, hope and redemption,” JB himself said.
Meanwhile Missy is super keen to get back on the road.
“It will be so good to get out of the house and get back on the road alongside John and his band”, said Missy.
“I have great memories of all those gigs I did with him when I was first starting out and it will be great to play some really special venues together again after all these years.”
