Let’s all come clean about something real quick…
Ahead of the premiere of The (recreated) Lion King this July, we’ve all been shamelessly binging on the original 1994 version, right? Right, though so. My couch now resembles a sea of tissues as I make the conscious decision to expose myself to the beautiful heartache of this film over, and over, and over again. It’s a really healthy obsession I’ve created, totally healthy and productive.
Someone caught me in my element actually. Here’s me:
I’ll also let you in on a little secret. There’s a little vid I discovered that’s been FEEDING my obsession with The Lion King that little bit more. Some dude made a side-by-side comparison of the 1994 version with the brand new version’s trailer.
It’s legendary, it’s beautiful, and I’m sorry but please let me fetch another tissue before I continue.
Do yourself a favour and watch it, cry over it, whatever. Just save it to your bookmarks and refer back to it whenever you have a spare five mins and experience the legendary film time-travel from 1994 to 2019 over, and over, and over again.
