As the fun times roll around with the sun shining and weather warming up there are quite a few exciting things coming up in the capital!
#1 Food & Wine in the Laneway – 18-19th November
Canberra District wineries are coming to Odgers Laneway in the City for your drinking delight. Over two nights you can sample a variety of different wines from local wineries with some local food whilst watching some local musicians. You can also buy bottles to share with friends or take home. Tickets are $20 ($15 for early birds) and you get a wine glass as a souvenir which doubles as your ticket! Wine Weekends here you come.
#2 Westside Village Carnival – 25-27th November
Rides and amusements by the Lake for adults and families! Food, coffee and fun times all around. Just look at that smorgasbord from Habibiz. Prices for the rides range from $5-$15 and entry is free.
#3 Spilt Milk Festival – 3rd December
Need I say more? Okay if you insist..Flume, Sticky Fingers, Allday, Gang of Youths, LDRU, Violent Soho. OKAY THE FESTIVAL IS AMAZING. Held at Commonwealth Park this event is sure to have Canberra pumping. It’s also sold out but if lets be honest people are always selling tickets a week out, keep your eyes and ears peeled my friends.
#4 Sunset Cinemas – 11th November to December 17th
Held outdoors at The Botanic Gardens with a beautiful sunset and scenery in the background. Different nights are showing different movies and this such a cute friend, family or partner date night.
#5 The Commons Street Feast – 9-18th December
Oh my gosh food lovers rejoice, I’m so freakin’ excited for this event! A 10 day summer celebration of amazing, delicious street food here in the capital at Commonwealth Park. So many varieties of food and drinks available there is something for everyone. You’ll have to attend at least 3 times, minimum just to make sure you’ve tried enough of the goods.
